An Analysis of Terrorism On September 11, 2001, every person was stunned with the earth shaking news that the World Trade Center (WTC), the highest building in the world was attacked by terrorist. This was done by hi-jacking two commercial airplanes which plowed the two famous sites. More than 5,000 American was feared dead. This was the most recent and most devastating terrorist act that brought terrorism into the timelight. Terrorism is a term of uncertain legal content. The term itself has no definition of illegality, except when terrorism commits acts which do apply to common law. Some of the acts that a terrorist commits are murder, bombing, kidnapping, hi-jacking, hostage taking and theft. All these acts have a law in the†¦show more content†¦In the last half of 20th century, terrorists were driven by beliefs in fighting for particular nations(nationalists) or certain ideas (ideology). Terrorist networks grew with the help of better transportation, more television, better telephones, and mo re sophisticated and deadly explosives. The conflicts between Israel and Arab countries after World War II led to intense periods of terrorism. 1970’s and 1980’s , terrorism spilled over into western Europe. The Palestinians liberation has set up organizations in Germany, Italy and Japan. Another army, fighting for the liberation of Northern Ireland from Great Britain. Before the airplane hi-jackings and attacks at the world trade center and the pentagon, terrorist attacked U.S. had been mostly the work of individuals. These individuals tend to hate government and corporations. The worst attack was in Oklahoma City in 1995 , when army veterans Timothy McVeigh and Terry McNicholas blew up the Federal Building killing 269 people. The Unabomber, Theodore Kasynski mailed homemade bombs to corporations, professors and computer companies. He killed 3 and wounded 23 people before captured in 1995. One exception was an earlier bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993, which killed six people the core in 1993, which killed 6 people. Islamic radicals were found to be behind the blast. In your weather forecast, high and low temperatures tell you how warm and cool the air will be during a 24-hour period. The daily maximum temperature, or high, describes how warm you can expect the air to be, usually from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The daily minimum temperature, or low, tells how much  the air is expected to cool, usually overnight from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.  Ã‚   High Temperatures Dont Happen at High Noon Theres a common misconception that high temperatures occur at high noon when the sun is at its highest elevation. However, this is not the case.   Just as the hottest days of summer dont happen until after the summer solstice, high temperatures dont usually happen until the late afternoon — typically  3 to 4 p.m. local time. By this time, the suns heat has built up since noon  and more heat is present at the surface than is leaving it. After 3 to 4 p.m., the sun sits low enough in the sky for the amount of outgoing heat to be greater than that incoming, and so temperatures begin to cool.   How Late at Night Do Lows Happen? Just how long after 3 to 4 p.m. will temperatures be at their coolest?   While you can typically expect the air temperature to drop as the evening and nighttime hours wear on,  the  lowest temperatures  dont tend to happen until just before  sunrise.   This can be quite confusing, especially since the low is often listed along with the word tonight. To help make it a little clearer, consider this.  Lets say  you check the weather for Sunday and  see a high of 50 °F (10 °C) and a low of 33 °F (1 °C). The 33 degrees thats displayed is the lowest temperature thatll occur between 7 p.m. Sunday evening and 7 a.m. Monday morning. Highs Dont Always Happen During the Day, Nor Lows at Night Weve talked about the times of day when  high and low temperatures occur 90% of the time, but its important to also know there are exceptions to this.   As backward as it sounds, sometimes  the high temperature for the day wont actually happen until  late in the evening or overnight. And likewise, the low can happen during midday.  In winter, for example, a weather system may move into an area and its  warm front  sweep across a region late in the day. But by the start of the next day,  the systems cold front then enters and sends the mercury  dropping  throughout the daytime  hours. These activities are considered to be distracting and of course dangerous. Most drivers also drive through yellow lights. Drivers also drive at least 10mph over the speed limit they are always in a hurry and cannot be bothered to slow down. The most common driver’s dangerous habits are: use of handheld cellular phones while driving, not respecting pedestrians in crosswalks, drivers do push through driving even though they are drunk, driving under the influence of drugs, too fast driving when raining, not slowing down when passing through humps, not blowing horns when there are people crossing the street, too many unskilled drivers are on the road, drivers are not using hand signals, bike lanes are out of hand, drivers use to cut lines and the speed limits are too low. Its good to break the rule sometimes but one must remember that life should never be put at risk so we must remember to drive responsibly.
